It helps that Zoya’s VA is Jenya Davidyuk, who is Russian herself. She has mostly done bit parts for other anime, mostly voicing Russian girls, so this is her first major voice role.

Nope, pretty much perfect Russian. OTOH, her Japanese is way too perfect for a Russian.

But she is. Jenya was born in Novosibirsk, Russia.

And speaks English, Russian and Japanese.

There are always exceptions. Just like there are Japanese people who have excellent English.

It would make sense if she properly studied Japanese language and culture, which I suppose does fit the character. But general Russians horribly mispronounce certain Japanese sounds, even though they're fully capable of pronouncing them correctly.
